The Major Airports
Each airport is different. Here is how we approach transfers at the three major New York area airports.
JFK
John F. Kennedy International in southeast Queens handles most of New York’s long-haul and international traffic. Travelers often arrive with more luggage, after a long flight, and with onward journeys into Manhattan, Brooklyn or Long Island.
For families and heavier luggage we usually recommend an SUV; for solo business travel, a sedan or executive/business sedan.
LGA
LaGuardia sits in northern Queens on Flushing Bay and is the closest major airport to Manhattan, which makes it a favorite for domestic business trips and short visits.
Many LaGuardia clients combine a transfer with hourly service — a pickup at arrivals, a meeting in Midtown and a return flight the same day.
EWR
Newark Liberty International in New Jersey is a major gateway for travelers heading to Manhattan, Jersey City and the wider New Jersey area. Trips to and from New York cross the Hudson River, so tolls apply.
